hope everyone had a wonderful christmas! i can’t believe it’s going to be the start of a new year by the end of the week, this year went by really, really, really fast.

here are some pictures taken in kyoto during my tokyo trip. my husband and i contemplated making kyoto a day trip but, thankfully, decided to stay one night. it was wonderful walking the “philosopher’s walk” in the morning, snacking on goodies (incl fresh sashimi and seafood, mochi w/chestnuts, takoyaki) at nishiki market and discovering some really great shops along the way. i cannot wait for the next time i visit japan, i hope it’s soon. (no harm in hoping, right?)
